MAP is looking for a Program Development VISTA!
Year-long, paid volunteer position through Americorps. Benefits include living allowance stipend, health insurance and education award. 35 + hours a week. (NEW VISTA rule allows for outside employment).
Required Pre-Service Orientation Aug 3-6. Service term starts immediately following PSO. Spanish speaking skills a huge plus. Experience with Salesforce also preferred. BA required, in youth development or non-profit management a plus.
VISTA service will help The Manton Avenue Project build organization capacity. The Program Development VISTA will be expected to be an enthusiastic and reliable member of our small MAP staff, and to take the necessary initiative to:
- Research best practices for program evaluation at similar storefront youth arts organizations.
- Research program grant and fundraising opportunities, and create a better system for program grants management and tracking.
- Research ways to better measure correlation of MAP participation to literacy, school readiness and social/emotional development.
- Create data systems to better track and evaluate the participation of students, parents, volunteer, and alumni.
- Work with staff to devise program enhancements at MAP’s Olneyville Clubhouse.
- Integrate partnership information into database and tracking system for guest artists and partner organizations that correlate with MAP’s themed playwriting programs.
